Average In-Use Emissions from Heavy-Duty Trucks - Emission Facts (EPA-420-F-08-027)

چکیده

T amount of pollution that a vehicle emits is dependent on many factors. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has developed a series of computer models that estimate the average emis sions for different types of highway vehicles. This fact sheet is one of a series on highway vehicle emission factors. It presents average emis sion rates for gasoline-fueled and diesel heavy-duty vehicles.

Average Annual Emissions and Fuel Consumption for Gasoline-Fueled Passenger Cars and Light Trucks -- Emission Facts (EPA-420-F-08-024)

T amount of pollution that a vehicle emits and the rate at which it consumes fuel are dependent on many factors. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has developed a series of computer models that estimate the average emissions for different types of highway vehicles. This fact sheet is one of a series on highway vehicle emission factors. It presents average annual emissions and fuel ...

Analysis of Particulate Matter Emission Factors in the Part5 Model

Introduction The EPA's PART5 model, similar in structure to the MOBILE5a model, calculates g/mi exhaust emissions of PM and SOx from 12 classes of motor vehicles. It also calculates g/mi emissions of road dust and particles from tire wear and brake wear1. The g/mi emission factors of PART5 can be multiplied by estimates of VMT in a particular region to produce a total inventory of mobile-source...

TRB 08-1311 Link-Based Emission Factors for Heavy-Duty Diesel Trucks Based on Real-World Data

Heavy-duty diesel vehicles contribute a substantial fraction of nitrogen oxides and particulate matter to on-road vehicle emission inventory. The objectives of this study are to estimate roadway link-based emission rates for heavy-duty trucks for use in emission inventory estimation, and to quantify the impact of factors affecting truck emissions. A speed-acceleration modal emissions approach i...

Quantifying on-road emissions from gasoline-powered motor vehicles: accounting for the presence of medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks.

Vehicle emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), fine particulate matter (PM2.5), organic aerosol (OA), and black carbon (BC) were measured at the Caldecott tunnel in the San Francisco Bay Area. Measurements were made in bore 2 of the tunnel, where light-duty (LD) vehicles accounted for >99% of total traffic and heavy-duty trucks were not allowed. Prior emission studies conduct...

A Fuel-Based Motor Vehicle Emission Inventory.

A fuel-based methodology for calculating motor vehicle emission inventories is presented. In the fuel-based method, emission factors are normalized to fuel consumption and expressed as grams of pollutant emitted per gallon of gasoline burned. Fleet-average emission factors are calculated from the measured on-road emissions of a large, random sample of vehicles. Gasoline use is known at the stat...
